Lazy Love Digital Release - A New Masterpiece by Tokyo Riddim Band
The single "Lazy Love" by Izumi "Mimi" Kobayashi and Tokyo Riddim Band has been released today on major digital services like Spotify. While this track was already available as a 7-inch record, it is now accessible digitally as well.
"Lazy Love" is a revival of a classic song originally penned by keyboardist Izumi "Mimi" Kobayashi in 1981. This new version, reimagined as a duet with Jamaican singer Ras Tavaris, combines the stellar performance of Tokyo Riddim Band with the mixing and dubbing magic of Prince Fatty, adding depth to the original's romantic charm. The production is handled by Kay Suzuki.
This release is brought to you by Time Capsule, a label founded by UK-based Japanese artist Kay Suzuki. Time Capsule bridges the gap between Japan's musical past and the contemporary scene, and this release is a perfect example of that vision.
An event celebrating this release is also planned, so be sure to check out the flyer for details.
