Grammy-Nominated Producer Keshav from Trinidad & Tobago to Hold SOCA Music Workshop in Japan!
Keshav, a five-time Grammy-nominated music producer from Trinidad & Tobago, will be hosting his first SOCA music workshop in Japan on Monday, September 9, 2024. Known for his world-renowned SOCA and dance music productions, Keshav has collaborated with major artists such as Bunji Garlin, Beenie Man, and Busy Signal.
The workshop will take place at Studios Nido A Studio in Mizonokuchi, Kanagawa, from 7:15 PM to 10:00 PM. This will be a unique opportunity to learn SOCA music production techniques that integrate live instruments with MIDI, featuring instruments like the steel pan and traditional Japanese flutes.

About Keshav: Keshav is a Grammy-nominated, Peabody Award-winning music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter from Trinidad & Tobago. He is the founder of the UK/Caribbean production and performance collective Jus Now, and has produced hit songs in SOCA and dance music for over a decade with artists such as Bunji Garlin, Beenie Man, Busy Signal, and Kes. Keshav’s music has been featured in global campaigns for brands like 'Fast & Furious,' Nike, Apple, and KFC, focusing on sharing the authentic sounds of Trinidad on the world stage.
His recent solo career has seen him release introspective, indie-pop records, while still producing Caribbean-inspired SOCA hits. Having toured internationally, including Belgium, and headlined Jus Now’s main stage at London’s Notting Hill Carnival, Keshav is now preparing for his summer tours in the UK and Japan, following a successful Carnival season.
