SOMAJI, who honed his skills in Jamaica, has released a collaborative album titled "JAPAN to JAMAICA" with producer Gacha Medz.

The album features tracks like "エーヨー remix ver" with Zenda Man, bringing a fresh breeze to the Japanese reggae scene, and the new track "遠飛行". Additionally, BEAR B from G.B.C in Kishiwada, Osaka, participates in this top-notch production.The title track "JAPAN to JAMAICA" incorporates phrases from RANKIN PUMPKIN's famous song "JAPAN KARA JAMAICA."

SOMAJI is a 21-year-old rapper and beatmaker based in Kishiwada, Osaka. He formed the crew "Chill Timbre" in 2017 with GINTA, BUZZ, and 7Lu, and started working as part of the 2MC unit "BLACK MAGIC" with J.D.B in late 2019. In 2020, he released his self-produced first EP "Stereo Anthem," followed by BLACK MAGIC's first EP "Cast A Spell" in 2021. He also released his first full album "2000" digitally in 2021.

SOMAJIとGacha Medzが手掛けるアルバム「JAPAN to JAMAICA」が全国リリース

ジャマイカで修行を積んだSOMAJIが、現地で出会ったプロデューサーGacha Medzと共に制作したアルバム「JAPAN to JAMAICA」が全国リリースされました。アルバムには、現在の日本のレゲエシーンに新風を吹き込むZenda Manとの「エーヨーremix ver」や、新曲「遠飛行」が収録されています。さらに、大阪岸和田のG.B.CからBEAR Bも参加しています。タイトル曲「JAPAN to JAMAICA」では、RANKIN PUMPKINの有名曲「JAPAN KARA JAMAICA」のフレーズを使用しています。

SOMAJIは21歳のラッパー・ビートメイカーで、大阪府岸和田市を拠点に活動しています。2017年にGINTA、BUZZ、7Luと共に"Chill Timbre"を結成し、2019年後期からJ.D.Bと共に"BLACK MAGIC"としても活動しています。2020年には1st EP『Stereo Anthem』を、2021年にはBLACK MAGICの1st EP『Cast A Spell』をリリースしました。さらに、2021年には自身初のフルアルバム『2000』をデジタルリリースしています。
