やってきましたSUMFESTの季節が！
SUMFEST目当てに世界中からジャマイカのモンテゴベイにレゲエ、ダンスホールファンが押しかけます！今年の見どころは相変わらず話題殺到のVybz Kartel 。海外からはToni Braxton にジャマイカでのフェスは久しぶりのTarrus Riley.そこに旬なMasickaやProtoje、Lila ikeなどの豪華ラインナップ。

Sumfestは今年で32年目のジャマイカ１のフェスでモンテゴベイで開催、１週間毎晩豪華イベントが開催される。世界中から音楽ファンが押しかけるためモンテゴベイの宿泊施設のブッキングも困難に。
今年は嬉しいニュース！キングストンから会場までの直行シャトルバス以外にも、LIAT航空がキングストンーモンテゴベイ間の５０分フライトも開始するため移動も楽に。
と、国を挙げての一大イベントなのだ。
今年は７月１３日から開催
１３日はFUN DAYとして朝１０時から夕方６時までの子供メインイベント。もちろんDJもたくさんラインナップされてるので親も楽しめる。
１４日は入場無料のストリートダンスが１９時から開催。Bishop Escobar, Johnny Kool, ZJ Liquid, DJ Tom & Raevasなどの豪華DJ陣にも注目。ダンサーも盛りだくさん、サウンドシステムでリアルなストーリートダンスが楽しめ、サウンドシステムの爆音に酔える。
１５日はドレスコードオールホワイトの８０年代ー２０００年代の曲でDJ courtney やDJNarity などのアップタウンDJが盛り上げる。
１６日はStalk ashleyやValiantのパフォームありのドレスコードオールブラックパーティ。テーマが毎日違うのもSumfestならでは。
１７日はガーナのShake to da max”Moliy"のパフォームにTonny matterhorn とNotorious sound のlikkle shabbaのサウンドクラッシュも！
そしてお待ちかね。１８日はダンスホールアーティストのステージショー！
Vybz kartel,Masicka,Tommy lee,Skeng,Govanaなど文句のないラインナップ。早めに会場に行っていい場所取って椅子セッティングするのをお勧めします。
19日は故伝説アーティスト dennis brown,cocoa tea,gregory isacs,jimmy riley トリビュートありつつこれぞレゲエなトップレベルのアーティストの上質なショーが繰り広げられるのが確定済み。Tarrus RileyにProtojeにLila ike,Iwayne など忘れられない夜になること間違いなし。
Sumfestはジャマイカの文化であるレゲエ、ダンスホール音楽の祭典。脈うつリディム、ソウルフルなメロディ、感染力強めのエネルギーでステージを燃やす。出店も多いので文化、食事、温かいおもてなしなど感じられる。全部ひっくるめ、ジャマイカの豊かな音楽遺産を喜び祝う素晴らしいフェス、SUMFEST１３日から！
Jamaica’s Biggest Festival, SUMFEST, Is Here!
It’s that time of year—SUMFEST season has arrived!
Reggae and dancehall fans from all over the world gather in Montego Bay, Jamaica, just for SUMFEST. This year, all eyes are still on the ever-buzzing Vybz Kartel. From overseas, Toni Braxton is set to appear, along with Tarrus Riley, who hasn’t performed at a festival in Jamaica for a while. Add to that the hot lineup of Masicka, Protoje, and Lila Iké.

Celebrating its 32nd year, SUMFEST is Jamaica’s number one festival, held in Montego Bay. Every night for a week, big events take place. Since music fans fly in from all over the world, booking accommodation in Montego Bay becomes extremely difficult.
This year brings good news: in addition to the direct shuttle buses from Kingston to the venue, LIAT Airlines has started 50-minute flights between Kingston and Montego Bay, making travel easier. It’s truly a major national event.
The festival starts on July 13.
July 13 is FUN DAY, a daytime event from 10AM to 6PM mainly for kids. Of course, with plenty of DJs lined up, parents can enjoy it too.
July 14 features a free street dance starting at 7PM. Look out for DJs like Bishop Escobar, Johnny Kool, ZJ Liquid, DJ Tom & Raevas. With lots of dancers and real street vibes powered by sound systems, you’ll get totally swept up in the bass.
July 15 is an all-white dress code party, with music from the 1980s to the 2000s played by uptown DJs like DJ Courtney and DJ Narity.
July 16 is an all-black dress code party with performances by Stalk Ashley and Valiant. Each day comes with a different theme—that’s what makes SUMFEST special.
July 17 features a performance by Moliy from Ghana, known for “Shake to da max,” along with a sound clash between Tonny Matterhorn and Notorious Sound’s Likkle Shabba.
And finally, the much-anticipated July 18—the dancehall artist stage show!
The lineup includes Vybz Kartel, Masicka, Tommy Lee, Skeng, Govana—all top-tier names. It’s recommended to get to the venue early, grab a good spot, and set up your chair.
July 19 features a tribute to the late legendary artists Dennis Brown, Cocoa Tea, Gregory Isaacs, and Jimmy Riley. You can expect high-quality reggae performances for sure. With Tarrus Riley, Protoje, Lila Iké, I-Wayne and more, it’s guaranteed to be an unforgettable night.
SUMFEST is a festival that celebrates reggae and dancehall, both central to Jamaican culture. From pulsing riddims and soulful melodies to strong, infectious energy on stage.
